OVERVIEW

Haiti’s National Teacher of the Year (PwoNA) program serves as a way to highlight the significant contributions of Haitian teachers in Haiti’s development. After receiving nominations, an expert panel of judges from MIT, the University of Quisqueya (InnovEd), the Ministry of Education, the International University of Hispaniola, the University of Florida, and P4H Global identify 10 outstanding finalists. Finally, after analyzing CVs, essays, letters of recommendations, teaching videos, lesson plans, student test scores, and other supporting documentation, the judges select the National Teacher of the Year, announced at our annual National Teacher of the Year Award Ceremony.

Each department finalist will receive a certificate, trophy, and cash prize of $1,000 USD! The winner of the National Teacher of the Year will receive a total cash prize of $2,000 USD.
